We walk at more than 4,500 meters above sea level, the settlers of the ancient valley of the Incas open their doors and their hearts to us; they welcome us in and give us shelter. We share their table and they proudly show us their land: A vast, endless sea of mountains that makes me think I’m in a different world. We attend their festivities and marvel at their rich and colourful traditions. We feel at home.
