Holi

Holi is the festival of colors and represents all the good things: The triumph of good over evil, the arrival of spring, an opportunity to forgive, to sing, to create new friendships, to play and laugh like there is no tomorrow. Enjoying this celebration in Bhaktapur gives us a chance to live a more intimate experience, as we get invited to step away from the crowds and follow a family in their traditional pilgrimage across the old town. We dance and sing indeed, and in the end we are welcomed into their home, where friends -old and new- and neighbours sit to chat while food and drink flows freely. In this day, we all come from the same place.
